For more than a decade, Jessie D. Rawlings has focused her practice exclusively on family law. She is a skilled and compassionate advocate, adept at navigating the sensitive and emotionally charged situations inherent in adoption, child custody and support, paternity, military divorce, same-sex divorce, and intimate partner violance matters. Attorney Rawlings serves clients throughout Southwestern Pennsylvania, with a primary focus on Allegheny, Butler, Greene, and Westmoreland Counties.
Understanding the deeply personal nature of family law, Attorney Rawlings provides her clients with the individual attention and support they deserve during challenging times. A native of Greene County, Pennsylvania, Attorney Rawlings earned her B.A. in Criminal Justice from PennWest Edinboro. She then obtained her Juris Doctor in 2010 from Florida Coastal School of Law, where she focused on poverty law, family law, and collaborative law practices. During law school, she was actively involved in the American Bar Association’s Law Student Division and the Coastal Association of Public Interest Law.
Attorney Rawlings’s commitment to serving families is evident in her experience with organizations such as SafeNet Domestic Violence Safety Network, Legal Aid of North Carolina, Jacksonville Area Legal Aid, Community Justice Project, and Neighborhood Legal Services. From this experience, she brings a unique understanding of the challenges faced by families in crisis. This experience has honed her ability to identify the root of complex issues and develop effective strategies for achieving positive outcomes for her clients, such as securing favorable custody arrangements and successfully negotiating complex divorce settlements.
